National Office unveils new Web site
(Posted March 31, 2005)
The National Office has unveiled a dynamic new Web site to serve Agriculture Union members. The completely redesigned and much anticipated site went 'live' on March 31.
The new site maintains the same URL, or Internet address, as before: www.agrunion.com. However, that's just about the only thing that hasn't changed. The colourful, easy-to-navigate site puts a wide range of useful information literally at the fingertips of our members.
Here is just a sample of what you'll find:
- Information on the structure and services offered by our union.
- Direct e-mail access to the National Executive, National Council and National Office staff.
- The ability to update your membership information electronically.
- The opportunity to subscribe to an electronic news service that will deliver Agriculture Union news directly to your e-mail in-box.
- A series of downloadable fact sheets on common workplace issues and problems.
- Links to current collective agreements, employer Web sites and a host of other useful Internet sites.
We're proud to say that our new Web site is also fully accessible to those with visual disabilities. All logos, illustrations and photos are captioned. Rather than set in defined type sizes, all text is scalable. Documents
can be downloaded in either RTF (Rich Text) or PDF (Adobe Document) formats.
Our new Web site is a work in progress. It will continue to expand and evolve over time. We welcome suggestions for improvements.
In the meantime, enjoy what we believe to be one of the best labour Web sites on the Internet.
