PI Review: CFIA Meat Inspector retirees also have right to grieve for adjustment of lump-sum payments and increment levels

Meat Inspectors who were reclassified in June 2000 as EG-02s and have recently received notice that they were finally being appointed EG-03s retroactive to June 2000, have been advised to grieve the fact that the employer failed to account for service between April 1997 and June 2000 in calculating lump-sum payments and increment level.  (click here for full article)


CFIA Fair Labelling Practices and Food Safety Inspectors

Following mediation of statement of duties grievances, a revised work description for CFIA’s Fair Labelling Practices and Food Safety Inspectors has been re-evaluated and resulted in a reclassification from an EG-03 to an EG-04 level.  (click here for full article)
