The third and final day of our Convention was given over to election of a new National Executive and National Council to oversee the affairs of the Agriculture Union over the next three years. This union gathering marked the stepping down of Yves Ducharme as National President
Bob Kingston, for a dozen years our First Executive Vice-President, was acclaimed National President.. Three other Executive Vice-Presidents moved up one position. Fabian Murphy, who came to Quebec City as Regional Vice-President for the Eastern Atlantic Region, was elected to the then-vacant post of Fourth Executive Vice-President. There are four new faces on the Agriculture Union's National Council. Seen below, clockwise from top left, are: Jane McDonald - RVP, Eastern Atlantic; Jean Cloutier - RVP, Eastern Québec; Milton Dyck - RVP, Southern Saskatchewan; and, Teri Friday - National Director for our Canadian Grain Commission members.
